The social workers of IOM Bulgaria organised a fun word game for unaccompanied asylum-seeking minors at RRC Sofia – Voenna Rampa.  

In order to communicate with each other, apart from our senses and desire, we need words. Words help us express our emotions, make or break a connection with each other. They are important to us and are intrinsic only to our human species.   

Children learn many things through play. This stimulates the IOM social workers to engage them in a game of "Broken Telephone". We were able to use words from all the languages we speak and learned quite a few of them. There was lots of laughter and benefits – plenty of new vocabulary. The end result and good mood motivate us to keep playing this game, and to look for new games that enrich the children’s development and daily life in an enjoyable way. It is effective try you too!
