The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is committed to the principle that humane and orderly migration benefits migrants and society. As the leading international organization for migration, IOM acts with its partners in the international community to assist in meeting the growing operational challenges of migration management; advance understanding of migration issues; encourage social and economic development through migration and uphold the human dignity and well-being of migrants.
In Bulgaria, IOM is focusing on responding to the current migration situation in the country, in support of the Bulgarian Government and in cooperation with all other agencies involved.
Context: Under the overall supervision of the Head of Office and in close collaboration with Project Coordinators and other relevant program staff, the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that project activities’ data and other relevant information is collected, stored and processed in accordance with IOM rules and regulations, as well as that it is organized and shared internally and externally with donors and partner institutions and organizations.
Core Functions / Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of Microsoft PowerApps database(s) for the purpose of storing and processing data and other relevant information collected through the implementation of IOM Bulgaria project activities.
2. Support the design of solutions to integrate, centralize and automate data and information management within IOM Bulgaria projects.
3. Support the development of data collection tools for IOM Bulgaria project activities.
4. Develop dashboards and interactive visualization using but not limited to, Power Bi.
5. Support project staff by conducting training on data collection tools.
6. Assist data integration between systems and perform proper backup and data restore ensuring
7. data security and consistency.
8. Design reports and other products using graphic design tools.
9. Undertake field visits to project activities, as required.
10. Ensure that data and information management tools respect IOM’s Data Protection Principles and other internal rules and regulations, as relevant.
11. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Education
• University degree in Information Management, Computer Science or a related field from an
accredited academic institution
• Completed High School degree from accredited academic institution with 2 years relevant
• professional experience.
Professional Experience
• Proven experience using some or all the following tools: Excel, Microsoft PowerApps, Visual Studio, ASP.Net MVC framework.
• Experience with using Tableau, PowerBI, Highcharts, and InDesign is an advantage.
• Experience in Information Management, management and coordination of information flows, data management including collection, storing, processing, and analysing data to generate information products.
• Experience in managing data entry and maintenance.
• Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.

Languages
• IOM’s official languages are English, French, and Spanish.
• Fluency in Bulgarian and English is required.
