7th Harmanli Graffiti Festival: Painting Dreams, Inspiring Hope
Now in its seventh year, the Harmanli Graffiti Festival, hosted annually by IOM Bulgaria at the Registration and Reception Centre (RRC) Harmanli, once again brought color and creativity to the forefront.
Over two dynamic days, professional graffiti artists transformed the RRC's walls into vibrant canvases. But what truly sets this event apart is our work with unaccompanied asylum-seeking children. Through creative workshops tailored for them, these young artists added their dreams, fears, and aspirations to the center's interior walls, turning them into vibrant masterpieces.
Thanks to the generous support of Harmanli Municipality and the State Agency for Refugees, the festival has not only beautified the RRC's outer walls with stunning graffiti murals but has also created a lasting impression on the lives of the children involved.
In a world that often feels divided, the Harmanli Graffiti Festival serves as a powerful reminder that art can bridge gaps and inspire unity. It's a heartwarming celebration of the resilience, creativity, and shared humanity of the children who call the RRC Harmanli their temporary home.
These activities were realised with the financial support of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism.
