Distribution of hygiene materials, social and legal consultations at RRC Harmanli
The IOM-Bulgaria mobile team organized the distribution of basic hygiene materials for newly accommodated asylum seekers at the RRC Harmanli. A total of 97 third-country nationals received such kits, mostly Syrians, including unaccompanied minors and women with young children, as well as citizens of North African countries.
Furthermore, these individuals received answers to their questions about the steps of the procedure for granting international protection, as well as about their access to health and social services in Bulgaria, respectively, from the legal experts and the social workers of the IOM-Bulgaria mobile team.
These activities are carried out within the framework of the project "Protection of vulnerable migrants and assisted voluntary return and reintegration" and project “Legal Counselling and Interpretation. Services to Asylum Seekers in Bulgaria”, funded through the EU Emergency Measures under the Asylum, Migration, and Integration Fund as well as the project “Legal counselling and interpretation services for asylum seekers in Bulgaria”, funded by the National Program of Bulgaria under the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund 2014-2020.
