Encounter with the art of contemporary dance at RRC Voenna Rampa
The asylum-seekers, accommodated at RRC Sofia – Voenna Rampa had the chance to experience the contemporary dance performance “Differensonalities”, which IOM Bulgaria organized especially for them at the center.
Created by Muzotanz Dance Company, the performance focuses on four characters - four different ‘differentialities’ who are forcibly locked in a room from which they cannot leave, gathered in one place under circumstances beyond their control and deprived of their right to choose. Utilizing the creative devices of the contemporary dance form, the performance explores the thin line the separates the opposites and the constant transformation of the individual put in an extreme situation. “Differensonalities” raises the important question of the possibility of uniting in differences and the danger of remaining indifferent to the stigma and alienation of the other.
The audience did not hide their admiration and enthusiasm from their meeting with the art of contemporary dance and after the performance they had the opportunity to meet and talk with the authors and participants in the performance.
The IOM Bulgaria team would like to express its satisfaction with the realization of this beautiful event and would like to thank the authors of the project "Differsonalities", a project that we support from the very beginning.
