Our WorkAs the leading inter-governmental organization promoting since 1951 humane and orderly migration, IOM plays a key role to support the achievement of the 2030 Agenda through different areas of intervention that connect both humanitarian assistance and sustainable development. Across Bulgaria, IOM assists the development of national mechanisms to combat and counteract trafficking in human beings and supports victims of trafficking.

Information session in Plovdiv for people fleeing the war in Ukraine
IOM Bulgaria will hold an information session in the city of Plovdiv for people fleeing the war in Ukraine. The event will take place on 22 March 2023 from 18:00 until 21:00 in Imperial Hotel on 6 Lev Tolstoy street, Plovdiv.
The meeting intends to provide the attendees with information and legal advice on topics related to temporary and international protection status, labour rights and legislation, and national integration assistance programmes. There will also be a presentation of the free Bulgarian language courses offered by IOM Bulgaria.
The event is free entry for all citizens of Ukraine and people fleeing the war.
