Our WorkAs the leading inter-governmental organization promoting since 1951 humane and orderly migration, IOM plays a key role to support the achievement of the 2030 Agenda through different areas of intervention that connect both humanitarian assistance and sustainable development. Across Bulgaria, IOM assists the development of national mechanisms to combat and counteract trafficking in human beings and supports victims of trafficking.

Meeting with people fleeing the war in Ukraine - Burgas and Pomorie
On September 29, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Hall of National Community Center in Pomorie (Knyaz Boris I 51 Str., Old Town of Pomorie), the International Organization for Migration is organizing a meeting with Ukrainian citizens and individuals fleeing the war in Ukraine.
The themes for the meeting are divided into two blocks - legal consultation on topics related to the status of temporary and international protection, labor rights, national assistance programs in the field of integration.
The second part of the meeting will be dedicated to the presentation of the free Bulgarian language training program and other initiatives implemented by the International Organization for Migration with a focus on vulnerable persons and those fleeing the conflict in Ukraine.
On September 30, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. in the Hall of Library “P.K.Yavorov”in Burgas ( 41 St. St. Cyril and Methodii Str., City Center of Burgas), the International Organization for Migration will have a meeting with Ukrainians and individuals fleeing the war in Ukraine who are currently located in Burgas.
This is a free-entry event and everyone is welcome.
The event will be realized within the framework of the project "Training and counselling of legal migrants and persons seeking or having received the international protection" funded by the National Program of Bulgaria under the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund 2014-2020.
