Our WorkAs the leading inter-governmental organization promoting since 1951 humane and orderly migration, IOM plays a key role to support the achievement of the 2030 Agenda through different areas of intervention that connect both humanitarian assistance and sustainable development. Across Bulgaria, IOM assists the development of national mechanisms to combat and counteract trafficking in human beings and supports victims of trafficking.

Meeting people fleeing the war in Ukraine at the towns of Bansko and Blagoevgrad
On 7 February in Bansko and on 8 February in Blagoevgrad, from 17.00 to 19.00, the International Organization for Migration - Mission in Bulgaria organizes a meeting with Ukrainian citizens fleeing from the war in Ukraine. The exact address of the venue will be published next week.
The topics at the meeting will be divided into two blocks. The first part is a legal consultation on topics related to temporary and international protection status, labor rights, and national integration assistance programs. The second part of the presentation will focus on the provision of a free Bulgarian language program.
Ukrainians who qualify for financial and material aid will be able to sign up for an interview for assistance right after the information session.
