Our Work
Our WorkAs the leading inter-governmental organization promoting since 1951 humane and orderly migration, IOM plays a key role to support the achievement of the 2030 Agenda through different areas of intervention that connect both humanitarian assistance and sustainable development. Across Bulgaria, IOM assists the development of national mechanisms to combat and counteract trafficking in human beings and supports victims of trafficking.

Ukraine Response - Yulia's testimony
It has been 6 months since the start of the conflict in Ukraine and IOM Bulgaria with the support of the Migrant and Refugee Fund (MRF) of The Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) continues to provide support to vulnerable people fleeing the coinflict.
So far IOM Bulgaria has provided financial, social, psychological, accommodation and healthcare assistance to more than 650 people, fleeing the war in Ukraine.
