Workshop on human trafficking, sexual and labour exploitation.
IOM Bulgaria hosted a workshop on human trafficking, sexual and labour exploitation. The meeting, held on the occasion of a visit of colleagues from IOM Germany, took place with the participation of the National Commission for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings, Animus Association Foundation and Dignita Foundation.
The participants shared challenges in the area of human trafficking from the Bulgarian and German context and sought common solutions, with a focus on improving the identification of victims of trafficking in migrant and refugee communities, as well as opportunities to strengthen coordination between investigative authorities in Germany and Bulgaria.
The IOM Germany representatives later visited the crisis centre of the Animus Association Foundation and spoke with representatives of the Council Of Refugee Women In Bulgaria to learn more about their experience in working with migrant communities.
