Our WorkAs the leading inter-governmental organization promoting since 1951 humane and orderly migration, IOM plays a key role to support the achievement of the 2030 Agenda through different areas of intervention that connect both humanitarian assistance and sustainable development. Across Bulgaria, IOM assists the development of national mechanisms to combat and counteract trafficking in human beings and supports victims of trafficking.

World Refugee Day 2022 celebration at RRC Sofia - Voenna Rampa
On 20 June, we celebrate World Refugee Day as an expression of sympathy and solidarity with the fate of millions of people forced to flee their homeland due to conflict and persecution.
This day was celebrated today in the refugee camp at the Military Ramp, but the most participants and the most prizes were the boys accommodated in the IOM Safe Zone, there. IOM Bulgaria, together with Caritas and The State Agency for Refugees organized interesting and extremely fun competitions were organized. They were filled with a desire to win, a lot of laughter and pride for the winners, and the losers were left with fun, many gifts and pride in the unforgettable team game. The winners were personally awarded by the director of the camp, Mrs. Metodieva, and received additional T-shirts, hats and many treats.
After the end of the competitions, the awards and the gifts that took place in the yard, the party continued indoors with music and delicacies. Everyone who got involved is very happy, recharged and united by the positive emotions and the miracle that this holiday brought them, namely
"Unity makes strength" is the conclusion reached by the boys accommodated in the IOM Safety Zone.
