Information session for the unaccompanied asylum-seeking minors at RRC Sofia - Ovcha Kupel
As the famous quote goes, adolescence is a "time of storm and stress". This is especially valid for adolescents living far away from their families.
An IOM Bulgaria team held a group information session for the unaccompanied asylum-seeking minors, accommodated in the Safety Zone in the RRC Sofia - Ovcha Kupel. The young people had the chance to discuss topics related to their development as well as specific challenges typical for the adolescent period with an psychologist from IOM Bulgaria.
During the discussion, issues related to children's needs for broader social contacts and the specifics of their relationships with their families were also addressed.
This activity was implemented within the framework of the project “Support for unaccompanied minors, seeking international protection” funded by the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2020 under the Programme “Home Affairs”.
